Jerry Wayne Smith, 80, of Oklahoma City, passed away on May 8, 2022. Jerry was born on July 16, 1941 in Los Angeles, California to Walter Monroe and Annabelle Logan (Adams) Smith. After completion of high school, Jerry heard his nations call and joined the US Army in 1966. There he served in the Vietnam War earning a Vietnam Service Medal with 3 bronze stars and various other service medals.
Jerry enjoyed cooking for his mom and siblings, watching football, and playing dominoes. Jerry’s family was important to him, acting as his sisters’ caretaker until her passing.
Jerry is survived by his niece, Sally Wojciechowski and her children, John and Daniel Wojciechowski. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Annabella, his sister, Linda Knight, and his two older brothers, Tommy J. Smith and Donald Smith.
