Jackie E. Lemmon (Walker, McCarty) entered into eternal life on July 14, 2015. In 1940, her family moved from Hochatown, OK to Oklahoma City and bought acreage on S.E. 29th Street in the area of the present day Arvest Bank of Del City. Following WWII, her family owned a grocery store in the area for several years. Once her children were almost grown, she again began working outside the home and eventually retired from the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Her spirit is carried on by her two children, Tony McCarty and Brad McCarty (Laurah); 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; siblings; and many family and friends from every walk of life. Jackie will be greatly missed for her unending goodness, laughter, and all of her service to her family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 at Sooner Baptist Church with interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
