Jackie Dee Clanton age 81 of Del City passed from this life on Monday, January 17, 2020 at Quality Life Center in Del City. He was born on August 25th, 1938 to Richard Dee Clanton, and Alma OLeta Boyd of Eufaula, Oklahoma. Jack and his beloved Deanna eloped and were married in Arapaho, Oklahoma October 26, 1960. He was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church and retired from DEMCO in 2001 as a Supervisor in Quality Control Inspection. Jack enjoyed watching all kinds of sports, listening to music, playing cards and visiting with friends in his free time. Jack was instrumental in the organization and startup of Del City Junior Sports Association, he was active in Del City community activities as well as Del City Quarterback Club and Del City Take Down Club. Jack coached his boys in baseball and football and still to this day is referred to by many young men of Del City as Coach. He loved spending time watching Jo Don and nephew Cliff racing their motorcycles, delighted in lazy weekends camping with friends and family in Eufaula, Oklahoma.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father; sisters Patricia Wilcox and Brenda King; and one niece Carole King. Jack is survived by his wife of the home Deanna Clanton; his sons Butch Clanton of Eufaula, Tony Dee Clanton of Del City, and Jo Don and daughter in law Teddi Clanton of Norman, Oklahoma; and his sister Debra Heathcock of Canadian. He is also survived by nine grandkids, Tracy, Shane, Christopher, Cody, Lacie, Derek, Colby, Kashyn and Talyn; ten great-grandkids, Gunner, Boone, Kiaya, Izaiah, Joseph, Elijah, Austyn, Daxton, Lakyn and Breckyn; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on at 10 am Friday, January 31, 2020 at Eastwood Baptist Church located at 12251 E. Reno, Midwest City, Oklahoma 73130.
Interment to follow at 3pm at Greenwood Cemetery located Eufaula, Oklahoma.
