Ira "Ike" G. Stewart

Ira Gene Stewart “Ike”, 95, passed away January 13, 2024. Ike was born on October 28, 1928, in OKC, OK. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1947. Ike served in the US Navy as a corpsman. On July 4, 1953, he married the love of his life, Martha Jane Stewart, and they had 4 children. He was a long-time resident of OKC and MWC where he worked for Tinker Air Force Base as a Procurement & Budget Analyst. Ike was an avid golfer and worked at John Conrad Golf Course since its opening.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Martha Jane Stewart, his parents, Ira L and Thelma M. Stewart, one daughter, Susan Stewart, and one sister, Fern Braunreuther. He is survived by three children, Cynthia Jones, Russell Stewart, Robert Stewart and wife Cynthia Stewart. Also surviving him are four grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Erin Griffith, and Mackenzie and Brandon Stewart, four great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, with number six on the way and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Ike will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 5005 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115. A funeral service will occur 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
