After high school, Herman went on to college, earning some credits before moving into vocational studies. He worked in property management and worked his way up to a supervisors position. When he wasn’t working, Herman was often found watching westerns on TV or outdoors in his garden. Herman was an avid gardener and was known for his green thumb. Beyond the garden, his greatest achievement was marrying the love of his life, Carla and the family they shared. Carla was not only his loving wife, but also his attentive caretaker, along with his daughter who lived nearby, Rhiannon L. Weaver.
“In sickness and in health” was an oath Carla took in marriage, and lived up to with the most care and love anyone could ever give.
Herman is preceded in death by his parents, Ewing and Delores, his daughter, Edna Charlene Weaver and his siblings Ernest Weaver, Jimmy Weaver, Gladys Kirkpatrick, Junior Weaver, and Glenda Maxine Morgan. Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carla Weaver and children, Robert Weaver and wife Amanda, Karen L. Weaver, Herman “Tommy” A. Weaver and wife Natalie, and Rhiannon L Weaver. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry Weaver along with many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and great grandchildren.
A visitation for Herman will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Sunny Lane Funeral Home, 4000 Se 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 30, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Sunny Lane Funeral Home.
