Helen Mae Hardesty, 99, passed away on August 15, 2016 in Oklahoma City . Helen was born on April 27, 1917 in Columbus, Indiana to Otto and Betty (Sanders) Shaner. She enjoyed writing poetry and also doing genealogy. After graduating high school she worked as a Secretary for the State of Indiana.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivan; siblings, George, Harry, Francis “Skinny”, Dorothy, and Ronald “Ronny” Shaner. Survivors include her daughter, Rozanne Reynolds and husband, Ron; grandchildren, Ron Reynolds Jr., and wife, Stephanie, and Helen (Lynn) Morrison and husband, Terry; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Megan, and Will and Amelia Reynolds.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Arlington Memory Garden Mausoleum. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Garden.
