Hazel Sue Lawler (Johnson) was known by Sue to family and friends. Sue was 80 of Choctaw, OK. Sue passed on April 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 12, 1945, in Allen, Oklahoma and lived a full life dedicated to her family and her career as a truck driver at Louis V. Leak Trucking Company.
Sue was a devoted wife to Emery Leon Lawler for 64 years and a proud mother to three children, Carolyn, Lonnie and Darrel. She was also a grandmother to nine children, (Casey Templeton, Justin Herman, Erica Herman, Brandy Herman, Melissa Herman, Curtis Herman, Gregory Herman, Kimberly Lawler, and Matthew Lawler). A great grandmother to seven children, (Caleb Templeton, Connor Templeton, Auroa Templeton, Peyton Templeton, Vincent Herman, Bellamy Herman, and Noah Jones).
Sue was a compassionate, caring women that watched over us and was filled with the holy spirit of God. She was a good cook and enjoyed gardening and spent a lot of time working in the yard. She liked flowers and caring for her cats. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her mother May Johnson and brother John Johnson.
Hazel is survived by her husband Emery Lawler,daughter Carolyn Herman and husband (James), two sons, Lonnie Lawler and wife (Teri), Darrell Lawler and wife (Belynda), nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
