He was lovingly known by family and friends as "Skeeter".
Graduated from Prairie View High School, Seminole, County OK 1936.
Served in the military during WWII. He worked mainly in Oklahoma but traveled to nearly every state with his work. After retiring, he and Irene moved to Mena, Arkansas where he raised fruit trees, did gardening and fished, which he loved to do, and was very active at the Senior Center. He also took some college classes, did volunteer work, and was very active in his Sunday school class.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C.E. and Lola Skidmore, four brothers, Noel, William "Tell", Pete and Kenneth Skidmore. His first wife Irene Montgomery Skidmore and second wife Ruth Skidmore, grandson Jeff Rauner.
He leaves behind his daughter, Sue Rauner and husband Jerry, Grand-daughter Cindy Brodt and husband Monty, grandson David Rauner and six great grandchildren.
