Gerald Summers

After graduating from high school, he worked at Tinker AFB as an airplane mechanic. Gerald married Peggy who was the love of his life and they just celebrated 63 years of marriage on September 27th. He was a longtime member of the Del City Church of Christ. He enjoyed going to Lake Eufaula and he water-skied until he was in his 60’s. He loved to tinker with things and could fix almost anything. He loved his dog Maddie and was an OU fan, but most of all he just loved being with his family.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Cecil Summers, Jr.; and his son, Jerry and wife Susan. He is survived by his wife Peggy; daughter Janet Gilliam and husband Milton; granddaughter Lauren Gilliam; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2015 in the chapel of Bill Eisenhour Southeast Funeral Home. Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK. Condolences may be offered at www.eisenhourfuneral.com.
