Ella Mae Tilley was born on January 4, 1928 and passed away on June 6, 2016. She was born in Ripley, OK to Nettie Casey. Ella was raised by her mother and her stepfather, Jim Thomas. She had 3 brothers and 3 sisters who preceded her in death. On July 25, 1946, she married David Paul Tilley. From this union they had three children, Kenneth (Jimmie), Patricia (Robert), and Marsha (Mike). Ella Mae also had seven grandchildren, Shawn, Steve (Shannon), Brian (Nikki), Brandi, Heather (Troy), Mandy, and Samantha (Justin). Ella Mae had thirteen great-grandkids, Jacob, Mickyda, Chas, Canyon, Riley, Kayla, Kaleb, Trent, Bethanie, Logan, Skylar, Hunter, and Wyatt (deceased). She also had two great-great-grandkids, Elizabeth and Faith, and another one on the way.
A more beautiful and sweet spirit was never born. She was loving, trusting, and forgiving. She was a Christian who spent many hours reading her Bible and preparing her church lesson. She loved her old westerns on TV and was ruthless at the old game of Wahoo. She took great joy in moving your marble back to start; even if she couldn’t win, she wanted to make sure that you didn’t either. Everyone loved her. She is now at peace and at rest in the arms of the Lord. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids more than just about anything. Her influence on us has helped mold and shape us in how we deal with others in our daily lives in very positive ways.
Till we meet again Ella Mae Tilley, we will miss you and love you every day for the rest of our lives.
