She married the love of her life, Lawrence Freeman, on May 17, 1941. They had four beautiful daughters together. She had many passions including sewing and square dancing, but her greatest passion was being outdoors. She loved to garden and when she was younger going to the lake on camping and fishing trips.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth Butler, all her sisters, Hazel, Betty, Maxine, Billy, and Carlene (the Butler sisters), her husband, Lawrence Freeman, her oldest daughter, Rene Biggs, and grandsons, Acy Gabe Biggs and Jeffrey Russell. She was survived by Ann Freeman (daughter), Janice Edmoundson (daughter) and spouse Thomas, Kay Russell (daughter), and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was known by many names, but in her later years she was mainly know by Gran or Great Gran.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am, July 15, 2020, at Resthaven Cemetery.
Due to current COVID protocols, guests are encouraged to wear protective masks at all times while inside the funeral home and practice the recommended six foot social distancing.
