Donna Nannette Miller, 86, went to be with the Lord on November 27, 2018. She was born in Greeley, Nebraska to David and Virginia Couchman. She attended public school in Crofton, Nebraska and graduated from Mount Marty in Yankton, South Dakota. Donna moved to OKC with a friend and started her career as one of the original telephone operators for SW Bell until her retirement as a staff supervisor in 1982. She worked there for 30 years. While in OK, she met and married the love of her life Monroe Miller on August 7, 1954. They were not just married, but in love for 50 years.
Donna was a member of Del City Christian Church for 30+ years. She sang in the choir, was in a worship group, directed the children’s choir, taught Sunday school, was a youth sponsor, a deacon, and a Stephen Minister. Her devotion to serving others through her church was just one of the many ways she demonstrated her love and belief in the teachings of her Lord and Savior.
Donna’s death was the result of a long and difficult battle with Alzheimer’s disease. While her passing was prolonged, she was loved immeasurably and will be remembered for her quick laugh and wit, and her amazing capacity to love and share anything. We believe that we will see her again in heaven and for eternity.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her great-grandson, Austin. She is survived by her daughters, Kim Singleton and Jan Oleson (husband Kenny); brother, Dave Couchman; sisters Annie Beyers and Janie Ausdemore (husband Jim); grandchildren, Jessica Vinyard (husband Matt), Jake Singleton (wife Shayne), and Jeremy Oleson (wife Vickie); her beloved great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Zoey, Aiden, McKayla, Everlee, Asher, and Lacen; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 30th from 9am-8pm. A celebration of life service will be at 10am Saturday, Dec. 1st at Sunnylane Family Church in Del City. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to the food pantry at Sunnylane Family Church.
