David Joe Karr, 67, was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on November 22, 1944, to Austin and Katie Karr. David had many hobbies that included fishing, hunting, tinkering around, and hot rods. He also enjoyed singing karaoke and especially loved country music. Among David's accomplishments were being a Retired Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, and also being the owner and operator of the Bamboo Room. David was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Pamela Karr; and brother, Felix Karr. He is survived by daughter, Tammy VanEtten of Midwest City, Oklahoma; son, Steven Karr of Amity, Arkansas; son, Bobby Joe Karr of Hot Springs, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Branndon Karr, Cameron VanEtten, Candice VanEtten, Brantley Pyle, and Stormie Karr; sister, Diane Traylor of Choctaw, Oklahoma; Ardala Howard of Duncan, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2012, at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel in Del City, Oklahoma.
