David was born on May 2nd 1941 to Alta Grace Langham and David Lonzel Brown of OKC, OK. Davis soon moved to Moore where he would grow up and graduate from Moore High School in 1959. On June 6th 1960 he would join the Navy and serve for the next 4 years. After that he went to Tinker Air Force Base and retired after 33 years of hard dedication as a Quality Assurance Specialist Supervisor. He loved his job at Tinker and was proud of his work.
David loved talking about Big Foot! He could tell you endless stories about him being spotted! He loved keeping his lawn mowed and being outside. Him and his buddies loved to go deer hunting. He was known to be the chef when they went on these trips, everyone loved his cooking. And when he got back from his trips the family all knew we were about to get some of his famous deer jerky.
David really had a passion for cooking and even baking. He made the biggest family breakfasts on the weekends for his grandkids and would never skip out on a mickey mouse pancake! He had all the secrets to make a cake taste PERFECT! I don’t he ever made something that wasn’t delicious! He spent many, many weekend mornings on the couch with his grandkids watching cartoons. And if you knew David you knew he never went out without his cologne, Obsession was his signature scent.
David was a simple man. You would never hear him raise his voice to anyone and had the most gentle soul with such a warming smile. He will be forever loved and missed by everyone.
A visitation for David will be held Monday, April 10, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Sunny Lane Funeral Home, 4000 Se 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115.
