Christine Marie Black, 78 of Edmond, OK, was called home on February 19th, 2023. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Gene Black, son Brian Waggoner and wife Yvonne of OKC, and her 4 bonus children, Donal Black and wife Tracy of Jones, Shauna Cilberg and husband Steve of OKC, Sandy Burgert and husband Leroy of OKC, and John Black and wife Sheree of Midwest City, grandchildren Keri Waggoner, Eric Waggoner and wife Alexis, Krista Waggoner, Corey Black, Matthew Black, Brianna Black, Elise Zawacki, Dylan Seagroves, Jake Seagroves, Siara Allen and Sidnee Black.
Christine Marie was born April 19, 1944 to Robert and Ruth Crighton in Springfield, MO, or “God’s Country” as she would always refer to her home state. She is preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings, Robert, William, and John of Springfield, MO, and Wilhelmina Morris of OKC. Christine was the office manager for Refinish Specialist Inc. for 25+ years, always taking care of her salesmen across the Southwest whom she affectionately called “the boys”. She enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, crafting and genealogy. Christine was an expert seamstress, who sewed everything from her daughter’s wedding dress to numerous Halloween costumes for her son and grandchildren.
Perhaps the real love of her life were all of her fur babies. She was especially fond of Westies. Christine was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She remains in our hearts forever.
