Bobby Lynn Carr, age 66 passed December 14, 2013 to rest in the arms of his Heavenly Father. His death occurred after his eight year battle with an extended illness. The eighth of ten children, Bobby was born November 17, 1947 in Lexington, Oklahoma to Andrew and Elizabeth (Bennett) Carr. In 1969 he married his sweetheart, Alice Coughran who he remained devoted to each and every day of his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War for which he received two Purple Hearts and one Bronze Star. After returning home, he began earning his college education and received his Associates Degree in Business. Bobby worked diligently for Sysco Foods for twenty-five years before retiring. He was extremely passionate about many things to include OU Football, Thunder Basketball, and Wii Golf, but the passion he had for his wife and family was far greater than anything else. He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 sisters. Survivors to cherish his life are his wife Alice; children, Steve, Shelly and Roger; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Alameda Church of Christ; Norman, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
