Betty Joyce Cunningham

Betty Joyce Cunningham, Moore, OK, passed away in her home March 27, 2018. She was born in Morris, GA on July 14, 1931 to Sam and Ila Ree Moore. Betty started her career as a Southern Bell Telephone Operator in Albany, GA. She then married Dean Cunningham, USAF of Cheyenne, OK in 1951. Betty was an Air Force wife and mother until Dean retired after 20 years of service. They have one son, Kurt of Helena, MT. Betty is preceded in death by Dean, her parents, and two of her brothers, Samuel and Thomas Moore. Betty is survived by her son Kurt, brother Robert Moore and family; her nieces Beverly Campbell and Barbara Moore and families; nephews Danny & Steven Moore and their families, and Robert Moore Jr. and family all residing in GA. Betty loved her family, friends, animals and cooking. She was an avid golfer until her body wouldn’t allow her to enjoy the sport. She then became an avid OKC Thunder fan. Betty and Dean traveled many places to play in couple’s golf tournaments over the years. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made in Betty's honor to the charity or organization of your choice. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10:30 am, Monday, April 2, 2018 at Moore First Christian Church, Moore, Oklahoma.
