She spent most of her adult life in Del City, Oklahoma. After graduating from Jones High School, she married the love of her life, George William Pope, Jr., in 1958. They were married for 61 years before his death. Anna worked as a Civil Servant at Tinker Air Force Base for approximately 21 years. After leaving civil service, she watched her grandchildren until the youngest was grown.
Anna was a longtime member of Howard Memorial Baptist Church and served in many capacities throughout her years of membership there. She loved not only her family but her church family as well. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her dog “Cash”.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Hogue, Karen Messner, Barbara Pruitt and husband Jon, Alisha Nicholson and husband Kevin and seven grandchildren, Jason Hogue, Shawn Hogue, Tricia Martinez, Bo Pruitt, Alyssa Casey, Candace Fox, Zachary Robinson and 17 great-grandchildren.
