Barbara married her high school sweetheart, who was her hero and the love of her life. She was pure love, compassion, and loyalty. Faith and family was her world. She was a real example of truth and courage, an incredibly beautiful soul. She lived in the loving way God intended us to live. She was never afraid to stand up for what she believed was right. She inspired and motivated others with her words, her actions and her love. Her faith and strength made a difference in this world. She was truly a blessing.
After raising her four children, Barbara rejoined the workforce driving a bus for Ulster County Transportation. During her 13 plus years of service, Barbara rose to the position of manager, supervising a team of bus drivers and handled all training and administration.
Barbara was an amazing cook and baker. Whenever she prepared a meal, she always made you feel loved and cared for. Another way she expressed her love is through crocheting. She made many beautiful items such as an afghan for every family member, caps for the newborns at the hospital and donated beautiful christening gowns just to name a few. Everything she did came from the heart. She had the best sense of humor and will be loved and missed forever.
A funeral mass will be held at St Ambrose Church in Deerfield Beach at 9:30 am on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
