Mizzi, Frank B, 90, of Chase Lake Road, Glenfield, died Tuesday evening, April 24, 2012, at St Elizabeth’s Hospital, Utica. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Lillian; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Joan Mizzi of Glenfield, NY; Kenneth and Maria Mizzi of Dix Hills, NY; four grandchildren, Adam and his wife, Michelle Mizzi of Webster, NY; Matthew Mizzi and his companion, Janelle Rinaldo, of Rochester, NY; Frank Mizzi and Liana Mizzi of Dix Hills, NY. He is predeceased by two sisters, Nellie and Mary, and three brothers, Paul, Jerry and Vinny Mizzi. Mr. Mizzi was born on April 18, 1922, in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late Emmanuel and Rose Mizzi. At the age of five years old, he moved with his family to Malta. After serving with the Royal Air Force during World War II, Mr. Mizzi returned to Long Island. On May 30, 1952, he married Lillian Bartolo in Queens, NY. Mr. Mizzi worked for Wilson’s Machine Shop in Long Island City, NY for over 30 years, retiring in the 1980’s. After retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Mizzi moved to Jensen Beach, Florida, enjoying 17 years there together. Mr. Mizzi was a family man, who enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed woodworking, and using his laptop computer.
