Daniel R Rella, age 91, of Deer Park, New York sadly passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023.
Beloved husband of Lorraine. Loving father of Dawn, Scott, Glen (Jeanne) and Darnel (Christopher). A devoted and loving grandfather to Elloise, James, John, Samantha, Daniel and Jeremy. Daniel adored being an integral part of all of his growing families lives. A 1961 Fordham University graduate with lifelong Ram pride and a Korean War Veteran with American pride. Daniel was an avid sports lover and he was an original founder of Intramural Football on Long Island in 1961. If there was anything he’d have hoped people learned from him, it would be “It doesn’t cost anything to smile”
A visitation for Daniel will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Claude R. Boyd/Caratozzolo Funeral Home. A visitation will occur Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM at Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, Deer Park, NY.
