Buddy touched so many lives in our community. He was a role model and a mentor. He meant so much to my son and the other Squires. His presence will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace Buddy.

I knew Alex for many years and even though i haven't seen him for a long time, i will miss him, and i will include him in my prayers.

I noticed the name Gillespie in the Newsday and it brought back a flood of memories.  I think my Aunt Mary Lived across 7th street from Vera and Buddy back in the 40's.  My mother and sister and I would visit my aunt.  She lived across the street and was crippled.  I think I remember a Joanie who was sickly.
My aunt's name was Mary Fay.  I think this is the same family.  I must have been about 5 years old at the time.  Sorry to hear of your loss.  And sorry if this isn't the same Gillespie.  agnesd1@optonline.net

Aunt Joan & Family, Joanne & Dominick and Nicholas, we are so sorry for your loss.  I will keep Uncle Buddy in my prays and I hope he is with my Mother and Father.  I will truly miss him.

I did not know Buddy personally but my brother and nephew knew him from the Knights and always spoke very highly of him. I know they will miss him.

Dear Joan and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Buddy's passing. He was a true gentleman who will be missed by everyone who knew him. I will say he was the best Grand Knight that OLOR has ever had since I was a member, he knew how to talk to the members and get the job done. I will miss him very much, may he Rest in Peace.
