I just found out about Peyton's passing, I just can't believe it. While I haven't seen him in several years, I often think about the good times we had growing up together at Eastwood Elementary. We had a blast jumping on that trampoline in the backyard, as well as hitting baseballs in the batting cage. He was one of the kindest guys I've ever known. He stood up for everyone and was always there to talk and lend a hand. I'm so sorry for his family, may God be with you during this tough time.

Ann and Jeff, my heart is so sad for you and everyone who knew and loved Peyton. Such a funny, sweet and a loving friend to everyone he met. I saw him the week before Christmas when I was visiting John Adam, Sarah and Ada in Decatur.  Peyton stopped by as he usually did whenever I was there. We laughed and talked and spent a lot of the time talking about family and how important it is to take care of each other. I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.  May God Bless and surround you with His Love.

Dear Dukes Family,

I am deeply sorry for your loss.  Peyton was a kind and gentle spirit with an infectious laugh and a twinkle in his eye.  I hold dear and special memories of him that will live on in my heart.

It is my prayer that God will wrap His loving arms around each of you, and you bask in His presence and love.  Passing from this world is all of our destinies.  There will be an amazing celebration when we are reunited with  those who have passed before us!  Looking forward to seeing Peyton on the other side!

I am so sorry for your loss.   My thoughts and prayers are with you.  I met Peyton 2 yrs ago when he knocked on my door Thanksgiving night headed home from his grandparents house.   He told me I had a fire in my backyard.   He jumped the fence and helped me put it out, fireplace ashes had been put in the leaf bin.  He saved my home and possibly my life.    He came by a few days later to check on me, that's the kind of guy he was.  He was my hero, my firefighter.  He will be missed.
