Kenneth Troy Pittman, 55 of Danville passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at his residence. Troy was retired from Decatur Fire and Rescue, where he served for 26 years as a firefighter, driver/engineer. He was devoted to his family to his brothers and sisters at Decatur Fire and Rescue and to his good friend, Tim Joseph. Troy was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Tate Pittman and his sister, Angel Pittman
Troy is survived by his wife of 33 years, Bonita Pittman; mother, Janice Owens Pittman; two sons, Bradley Pittman and Tristan Bishop; son-in-law, Jeffery Russell; Three daughters, Leslie Russell, Brandy Mann and Marissa Howle. Three brothers, Steve, Kelly and Lamar Pittman. Three sisters, Rebecca Warden, Rita Pittman and Sheila Couch; Eight grandchildren, Nevaeh, Tommy, Melissa, Nolan, Garrett, Taya, Kenneth and Troy and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Hal Dean Eddy officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 8, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home .
Honorary pallbears will be retired and present firefighters from Decatur Fire and Rescue.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Brothers For Life/Decatur Fire and Rescue.
