Timothy Brett McAnally, 59, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Decatur Morgan Hospital in Decatur, Alabama. He will be laid to rest in Pleasant Grove Cemetery during a private family ceremony at a future date.
Tim is survived by his son, Colby McAnally and wife, Allison, of Memphis, TN; his son, Trevor McAnally and wife, Caroline, of Leoma, TN; his son, Jaxson McAnally and wife, Logan, of Huntsville, AL; his mother, Linda McAnally, of Decatur, AL; his brother, Blake McAnally and wife, Patty, of Decatur, AL.
Also, one niece Cara Elliott and husband Charles of Decatur, AL and one nephew, Patrick McAnally, of Nashville, TN.
Three great-nieces Elizabeth, Charlotte, and Vivienne Elliott, of Decatur, AL; and a large host of relatives among the McAnally, Blasingim, and Krick families.
Tim is preceded in death by his father, Harold Smithson McAnally.
Tim was born and raised in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. A graduate of Lawrence County High School and Middle Tennessee State University. Tim returned to Lawrenceburg after college and began work as an insurance agent. He married Lisa Krick of Loretto, TN, and they raised their three boys in Lawrenceburg. Tim enjoyed playing golf, rooting for University of Tennessee athletics, and coaching his sons’ sports teams. He loved to talk about the intricacies of baseball and football. He coached both sports as a volunteer whenever given the opportunity. Tim loved history, reading, and talking about history. Life was not always easy for Tim. He would chuckle and freely tell you it was of his own making. Regardless, he lived his way and did so his whole life.
Tim was baptized into Christ in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 13 during a Youth Conference at the Jonesboro Church of Christ. Tim’s last months of life he was in Decatur, AL with Linda his mother and brother Blake and family. Given the opportunity to relax, live comfortably and peacefully, Tim was working to remake his life with God and family, while always planning for the future.
