Stuart Peterson was a man of science, history, and faith. He could talk for hours about the universe, past world wars, and theology. But the most important topic of all was that of his risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His faith affected every aspect of his life. As a Disease Control Specialist with the Health Department, he founded the very first Aids/HIV support group in Morgan County. At a time when nothing was known for certain, and fear was rampant, he educated the public about proper safety precautions and helped save lives. He was a man who loved people, because he knew Jesus.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Peterson, Mike Kellen, William Hayes, Brad Campbell, and Bobby Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
