Steven Houston Mann

Steven Houston Mann age 62 of Decatur, passed away on October 26.He was a native of Lawrence County, AL where he was born on Thursday, March 26, 1959 to Mr. Albert H. Mann and Mrs. Betty Jean Montgomery Mann in Decatur, AL.

He grew up in Landersville, AL where he was partially raised by his maternal grandparents, Mr. Barna Montgomery and Mrs. Myrtle Sandlin Montgomery. After Mrs. Montgomery’s passing on October 26, 1970 he spent the rest of his childhood in Moulton, AL. with his mother, Mrs. Betty Jean and step father Mr. Hubert Nicholson.

Preceded in death by his grandparents Mr. Barna Montgomery and Mrs. Myrtle Sandlin Montgomery, father Albert H. Mann and mother and step-father Betty Jean Montgomery Nicholson and Mr. Hubert Nicholson.

Steven is survived by his Wife Mrs. Becky Burroughs Mann, son Samuel H. Mann and lifelong friend Tony “Hippy” Horton.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 6 from 2 PM-6 PM at 1002 Way Thru Woods SW. Decatur, AL 35603.

Steven served in the United States Air Force from October 1976 until June 1979 as a fuel specialist. When he was honorably discharged as Staff Sargent.
