Stephen Lowell Simmons, 65, of Decatur, passed away on May 10, 2023. His visitation will be on Sunday May 14th at Roselawn Funeral Home from 1pm until 2pm. His Graveside Service will begin at 2:00pm at Roselawn Cemetery.
Stephen is survived by one son, Charles Simmons and one daughter, Stephanie Simmons; and one sister, Carol Taylor(Richard).
He is preceded in death by his father, Lowell A. Simmons, and mother, Phyllis Gayle Simmons. And one sister, Cindy Chandler.
After graduating from Austin High School, Stephen served in the Marine Corp and was proud to serve. He worked in maintenance for 22 years at Decatur General Hospital.
Serving as pallbearers will be Sonny Taylor, Daniel Austin, Jose Brito, Charles Simmons, Rickie Harper, and Phillip Chandler. Honorary pallbearer will be Richard Taylor.
