He was born October 8, 1941, in Moulton, to Carl and Beatrice Montgomery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Judi Quinn Montgomery, his brother, Randy Montgomery, two brothers in law, Bill Bowman, and JD McCarver and nephew Matt Spain.
He is survived by his daughter Kim Vickery(Mike) of Athens, son, Clint Montgomery(Juan Carlos), of Atlanta, GA, his brother Ronnie Montgomery(Bonita) of Hartselle, sisters, Janice Bowman of Columbia, SC, and Linda Spain McCarver of Decatur, and two grandsons, Chase and Ben Vickery.
He was a 1960 graduate of Decatur High School, and he had a small group of classmates with whom he remained close until his death. He retired from Wolverine Tube in 1999 after 35 years and was an avid Nascar fan.
A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home.
