Funeral service for Ralph Kelly Alexander, 85, of Trinity, will be Monday, December 31, 2012, at 12 p.m., at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Johnny Crowder officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Alexander, died on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born on August 15, 1927 in Morgan County to the late Rile and Lucille Alexander. He is preceded in death by his brother, Harry Alexander; and his sister, Roberta Henson. Mr. Alexander was a Jehovah's Witness for 47 years and loved telling others about God's Kingdom. Mr. Alexander was retired from Monsanto in 1982 and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mildred Alexander; two daughters, Susan Lomax (John) of Decatur and Carol Odom (Albert) of Trinity; his brother, Durell Alexander, of Decatur; grandson, Daniel (Katie) Alexander of Scottsboro; and great- grandson, Ethan Alexander, of Scottsboro.
Pallbearers will be Albert Odom, Daniel Alexander, Robert Chavez, Joe Sherrill, Tim West, and David Stewart.
