Rachel Buck Brown Childers, 91, of Decatur passed away May 7, 2012, at Glenwood Health Care in Florence. She was a native of Decatur, a graduate of Decatur Senior High School and retired from Central Bank after 25 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carlisle and Elizabeth Buck of Decatur; husbands, Millard Brown of Lexington and Ezra Childers of Eva; five brothers, Lamar, Gordon, Norman, Nelson and William; and one grandchild, Chuckie Toner.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Richards of Decatur and Myra (Butch) Toner of Florence; one sister, Sarah Gilley of Decatur; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a dear family friend, Bobby Tuck of Dalton, Ga.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Cullman for 42 years.
Visitation will be Friday, May 11, 2012, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Elder David Guttery and Devon Harris will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Ron Toner, Carl Toner, Mark Toner, Ed Richards, Terry Richey, Robin Albano, Matt Balch and Chris Ray.
