Lacey's Spring

Funeral for Peggy Corum Freeman, 78, of Lacey's Spring will be Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Bro. Junior Hill officiating. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Freeman, who died Monday, December 26, 2011, at her daughter's residence, was born December 9, 1933, in Hillsboro to John Dean Corum and Suedamie Terry Corum. She retired as an elementary school teacher from Decatur City Schools after 37 years. She taught the senior adult ladies Sunday school class at West Highland Baptist Church in Athens. She enjoyed ministering to church family/senior adults and enjoyed her five grandchildren. She was a faithful Christian and church member. Her husband, the Reverend Jack Freeman, preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Lee Ann Jennings (Flint) of Lacey's Spring and Heather Breedlove (Lance) of Decatur; one sister, Susan Corum Marsh of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Jackson Breedlove, Collin Breedlove and Arden Breedlove, all of Decatur, and Dylan Jennings of Lacey's Spring; and one stepgrandchild, Tara Jennings of Lacey's Spring.

Pallbearers will be Lance Breedlove, Flint Jennings, Mike Bennett, Ervin Jr. Terry, Byron Lemay, Marvin Gillespie.
