Patricia Ellen Clawson

Patricia Ellen Clawson, age 82, formerly of Winfield, AL, passed away September 29, 2023 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born in Ottumwa, IA, on January 30, 1941, to Porter and Nora Goudy. Pat graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1959.

She married Michael L. Clawson on August 4, 1961. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2001. They were married 40 years and had 3 children, Michael P. Clawson, Christine E. (Thomas) Farris, and Richard L. (Connie) Clawson. She had nine grandchildren: Jacob, Alison, Jessica, Erin, Jamie, Joey, Janet, Jennifer, and Paul; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Pat retired from Oscar Mayer Lunchables Dept. Davenport, IA in 2002 and relocated to Winfield, AL in 2004.

Pat was well-loved by all that knew her. She enjoyed baking cookies and pies to give away. Mrs. Clawson never met a stranger and was affectionately known as; Pat, Patty, Aunt Patty, Grandma Pat, Grandma Two, and Mrs. C. Her favorite thing was talking on the phone with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, husband and granddaughter, Jessica Gardner.

A memorial service will be in November with Patricia and Michael's ashes placed in Zion Cemetery, Winfield, AL.
