Marie Etheridge

Marie Etheridge, 90, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. Her visitation will be on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will immediately follow in the chapel of the funeral home with Bro Jimmy Meek officiating. She will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.

Marie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and gardening. Marie found the most joy spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James “Sonny” Etheridge; brothers, Coy, Herman, Hubert and Herbert Moland and sister, Lorene Ward.

She is survived by her sons, Kenny (Tina) Etheridge and Anthony (Penny) Etheridge; grandchildren, Nikki (Robert) Mims, Kristi (James) Andrews, and Kody (Amy) Etheridge; six great-grandchildren, Sawyer Mims, Kolt Etheridge, Ava Mims, Finley Andrews, Lane Etheridge, and Macie Andrews; two sisters, Hattie Ingle and Hazel McClain, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kody Etheridge, Robert Mims, James Andrews, Sawyer Mims, Kolt Etheridge, and Rickey Oliver.

Honorary pallbearer will be Lane Etheridge.
