Larry Andrew Blanton

Larry Andrew Blanton, 81, of Moulton, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. His visitation will be on Monday, January 2, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro Steve Smith of Beltline Church of Christ officiating. Mr. Blanton will be laid to rest in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Blanton was born in Moultrie, GA to parents, Exie and Fleeta Blanton. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served 4 years. Mr. Blanton retired from TVA after 40 years as a Senior Instrument Mechanic Forman for the Emergency Preparedness Group. Mr. Blanton was a member of Beltline Church of Christ. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Blanton was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty Ruth Blanton Plymel and Mary Jo Blanton Bassett and brother, Elwyn Blanton.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Blanton; children, Nancy Mitchell, Kim Blanton and Greg Gann (Missy); grandchildren, Cody Mitchell (Jessica), William Gann, Anna Claire Gann and Joshua Gann; great granddaughter, Natalie Mitchell.

Pallbearers will be Cody Mitchell, William Gann, Joshua Gann, Larry Watson, Roger Sapp and Thad Gilbert.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Art Moss.

In lieu of flowers, the Blanton family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.
