Katheryn is survived by her daughter, Seleatha (Jesse) of Las Vegas, NV; and sons Warren (Regina) of Sheffield; Lester, Winford, and Lee all of Hartselle; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Hobert Warren "Jack" Brumbeloe, her parents, Walter D. and Lillie Smith, several siblings and her grandson SPC Brian W. Brumbeloe.
Katheryn was born on August 16, 1925 in Pinson, Alabama to Walter D. Smith and Lillie Lawrenson.
Katheryn was a generous individual who volunteered for the Red Cross during World War II and loved doing all types of handiwork especially quilting. She was a faithful member of Deer Springs Baptist Church and often helped with the children's Bible school and Sunday school classes. She loved visiting those that were at home and reading to those in need.
A visitation is scheduled for Katheryn at Roselawn Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6pm until 8pm. Her Celebration of Life service will be on Tuesday at 2pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Bro. Charles Forman, and Bro. Greg Alred will co-officiate the ceremony.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Aaron, Chase, Brently, Phillip, Ryan, and Kris. Honorary pallbearer will be Tony Pernatozzi.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to the Leukemia Research Foundation, 191 Waukegan Road, Ste. 105, Northfield, IL 60093. or online at allbloodcancers.org.
The family would also like to thank Summerford Rehab, and Comfort Care Hospice for their care.
