Judy Whisenant Straub, 67 of Decatur passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in Decatur, Alabama. Mrs. Straub attended Mississippi State College for Women. She was a long time member of First United Methodist Church and a current member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. Mrs. Straub also was a co-host of The John and Judy Show that aired on WMSL Channel 23 in Decatur, AL of which her father was founder and owner of.
Mrs. Straub is survived by her husband, Robert Straub of Decatur, AL; Two sons, James (Jennifer) Kirkham of Charlottesville, VA and Franklin (Carla) Kirkham of Danville, AL; Two step-sons, Robert A. (Dorothy) Straub of Courtland, AL and Theodore (Aurea) Straub of Franklin, TN.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am Friday, August 15, 2014 at St. John’s Episcopal Church with The Rev. Evan Garner officiating. The family will gather with friends at 10:00am at St. John’s. Burial will be at Decatur City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
