James (Jim) David Barnes, 90, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. A graveside service for James will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Jim is survived by his son, Brian and his wife Nicole; grandsons, Quinn, Gavin, and Colin; brother, Jon, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie B. Barnes and Marie Barnes; brother Carl and sister, Charlene.
Jim grew up in Moulton. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading voraciously, and welding.
Pallbearers will be Mick Ceci, Andrew Ceci, and Quinn Barnes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty United Methodist Church.
