Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Goodwin, who died Thursday, April 22, 2010 at his residence, was born September 3, 1959, in Decatur to Billy Jack and Melba Goodwin. He was an owner/operator truck driver with Carry Transit and a loving son, brother, and friend to everyone. He was also a member of Hillsboro Baptist Church, a fisherman, and gun and knife collector. Mr. Goodwin was preceded in death by his grandparents, A.J. and Billie Goodwin and Arle and Annie Long. His is survived by his parents, Melba and Billy Jack Goodwin; his companion, Carol Adams; sister Phyllis A. (Rocky) Roney; and niece, Shannon Nichole Roney.
Pallbearers will be Randy Hampton, Pat Vandiver, Mike Sims, Tim Martin, Harold Stamey, and Robby Sharbutt. Honorary pallbearer will be Rocky Roney.
