Imogene Singleton Carpenter

Funeral services for Imogene Singleton Carpenter, 90, will be on Monday, February 18, 2019, at Roselawn Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Visitation for Mrs. Carpenter will be on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Carpenter died February 15, 2019 at her residence at Columbia Cottage Assisted Living in Hartselle, AL. She was born September 24, 1928 in Lawrence County to James and Pearl Singleton. She was a long time member of Fairview Baptist Church in Decatur, AL and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, eating sweets, playing cards, and watching wrestling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse E. Carpenter; one son, Jeffery L. Carpenter; one daughter-in-law, Donna Carpenter; her parents; three brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include one son, Gregory K. Carpenter (Dewanna); four grandchildren, Adam Carpenter (Jennifer), Ashley Carpenter-Petty, Chloe Carpenter, and Marley Carpenter; and two great-grandchildren, Damon and Hunter Carpenter.

Pallbearers include Adam Carpenter, Glenn Carpenter, Donnie Lawrence, Jason Osborn, Jimmy Singleton, and Darrell Smith.
