Mr. Wood retired from Western Electric / AT&T after 36 years of service.
He was a member of Westmeade Baptist Church.
Mr. Wood was a family man who loved fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, M.B. Wood and Thomas Wood; sister, Marcille Ingram.
Mr. Wood is survived by his wife of 65 years, Pauline H. Wood; daughter, Susan L. Wood; sister, Zona Sue Evans and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Services will be Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:30 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home with Dr. Scotty Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Westmeade Baptist Church or any organization of your choice.
