I met Dave In 1974 in Greenville,S.C. We were both employed by 3M. We worked together off/ on in several different capacities and locations. Dave was quite,,very competent, thoughtful and a team player. He loved to tinker with vintage Corvettes in his spare time. A passion we both enjoyed and like to discuss together. 

While a bit reserved,he was quick to laugh and a true pleasure to be around. 

Gayle, it made me so sad to hear of Dave’s passing and brought back many memories. I wish you peace and comfort going forward.

Dave was my very close and fun friend. I will miss him. Rest in piece Davy.

I worked @ 3M Decatur as a Lab Tech during " Big Daves " time there. Would run across him every now and then. He always seemed to himself, was hard to talk too, seemed better than you to some of us. Then one year his Son Spencer worked in the lab as a summer student. Spencer was a joy to work with, the opposite of his Daddy. . Then Spencer went back to school. One day I run into Dave he was shut mouth as usual. I asked how was Spencer. BOOM!! He Lit up and we talked a while about what Spencer was doing. From then on when I came across him I asked him about Spencer, again he would light up and go on and on. He truly loved that Boy and was so proud of him. Thanks Dave for that Life's lesson on judgement of people and for that great memory
