Born in Anderson County, South Carolina, on April 25, 1936. She was the daughter of Gilbert and Vera Mashburn. She attended LaFrance Elementary School and Pendleton High School, where she was a cheerleader. She worked at LaFrance Mills in the Cost Counting Department from the day she graduated High School until they medically retired her.
She was a member of LaFrance Baptist Church for 40 years and LaFrance Church of God for 44 years. She served her churches as a Sunday School Teacher and the Secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Casper J. Floyd, of Anderson, SC, are her Grandson, Chad Ashley Burgess (Jeri), Sister, Hellon Resendez (Wiley), Niece, Lybia Covington (Clay) and Nephew Michael Mashburn (Marcia), who were her caregivers, numerous nephews and nieces, and her loyal companion, her adopted dog, Phoenix, who stayed by her side for 2 years until the end.
Preceded in death was, Daughter; Tamara Davis, Mother and Father, Vera and Gilbert Mashburn, Brothers, Michael Mashburn, Clyde Mashburn, Harold Mashburn, Russell Mashburn, Horace Odell (known as TaterBug) Mashburn, Sisters, Eva Lou Mashburn Lee, and Mildred Mashburn Wiesemeyer.
The family would like to thank Dr. Nathan Bradford, Dr. Jesse Faulk, and Comfort Care Hospice of Decatur, especially nurses, Lori Kemp and Natasha Ennevor, for the wonderful care given to our loved one.

Funeral arrangements will be at Roselawn Funeral Home, Decatur, Alabama with Pastor Heath Harrelson and Pastor Roger Allison officiating.
