Christopher Andrew Williams

Christopher Andrew Williams, age 47, of Decatur, Alabama passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Christopher was born March 18, 1974 in Decatur, Alabama to Glenn and Margaret Williams. Christopher was a loving father of one child; son Caden Ryan Williams, he also survived by his parents Glenn Williams, James and Margaret Couch, two sisters; Katherine (Jeffrey) Stokes, Elizabeth Couch. Grandmother Gloria Mitchell and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins. He is also survived by his fiancé Deedee McGee.

Christopher served in the Army for six years and five months achieving the rank of sergeant with Airborne Jump Wings. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Faulkner University.

Christopher had a passion for cars and motorcycles and his family. He was known for his sarcasm and wit, his infections smile and his kind compassionate wit. For a number of years he drove a locomotive at Nucor Steel until his cancer diagnosis.

A graveside service will be on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Decatur City Cemetery at 2:00pm with Military Honors. In lieu of Flowers the family ask for donations to O’neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama.
