Brenda is survived by her mother, Ann C. Funk of Decatur, AL; her boyfriend, Frank J. Collins of Decatur, AL; 2 brothers, Brian E. Bourgeois of Raymond, NH and Richard A. Bourgeois and his wife Laura J. Bourgeois of Manchester, NH; many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces, her beloved dogs, Marley and Hannah, and more friends than anyone could ever count.
She is preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Steven J. Adams and her father, Edward L Bourgeois.
To have known Brenda was to love her. She was a fun-loving, generous, strong-willed and fiercely loyal person. Her friends became family and her family was her greatest treasure. She was a second mother to many of her nieces and nephews, whom she loved more than just about anything. Her ability to host a party and make it look easy, was unparalleled. Christmas Eve parties were her specialty. Everyone knew to stop by. The party was planned for week or months, and she worked tirelessly for days prior. She would bake and cook and decorate. She would make it look perfect and all would enjoy! No one was allowed to lift a finger to help or could bring anything.
Brenda was a very dedicated and hard working employee as well. She worked in the same industry from the age of 18 until her illness prevented work. She always gave 110% and continually looked for ways to improve processes or streamline work-flows.
She was a true animal lover. She had many pets through the years and treated every one as her fur baby! She also had a green thumb and her gardens were always truly beautiful. She will be missed by all.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or your local animal shelter.
Per Brenda’s request, there will be no formal services.
Roselawn Funeral Home has the honor of assisting the family.
