Billy Paul Hargrove

Celebration of Life Service for Billy Paul Hargrove, 77, of Decatur, will be Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jackie Thompson officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 9, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Hargrove passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016. He was born August 18, 1939 to William Alvin Hargrove and Dencie Linley Hargrove.

Mr. Hargrove was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He proudly served his country for 22 years in the Navy as an Aircraft Structural Mechanic, after retiring from the Navy he worked for the City of Decatur for 10 Years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jerry Alvin Hargrove.

Mr. Hargrove is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rachel Beard Hargrove; daughters, Rebecca Anne Hargrove Thompson (Donald) and Paula Diane Hargrove Harwell (Tim); grandchildren, Jonathan Thompson, Jordan Thompson, Christopher Thomas, Chase Thomas, Caleb Thomas, Daniel Harwell, Ashley Harwell Smith and Christopher Harwell; six great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
