Annie M. Campbell

Funeral for Annie May Campbell, 93, of Athens will be Friday, August 10, 2012, at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Justin Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Campbell, who passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at Athens-Limestone Hospital, was born November 11, 1918, in Hazel Green to Frank and Purnie Coats Hambrick. She was a member of the Pentecostal faith. She was a former employee of Athens State College and a homemaker. Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband, Bailes V. Campbell; one son, James B. Campbell; eight sisters; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include two sons, Sidney Campbell and Donnie L. Campbell, both of Athens; two daughters, Martha "Susie" Hagood of Priceville and Betty Ann Campbell Ledlow of Decatur; three sisters, Hazel Bennett and Juanita Lanier, both of Vicksburg, Miss., and Stella Pearl Morris of Rough and Ready, Calif.; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dewayne Campbell, Randy Campbell, Barry Campbell, Jeff Campbell and LeDon Campbell.
