He became a Christian when he was 17 years old and served his Lord faithfully all his life, and was always eager to witness to anyone he met.
Visitation will be from at 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Central Baptist Church. A celebration of his life will begin at 3 p.m.
Burial will follow in Moulton Memory Gardens.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Ruby Jackson, sisters, Joan Darnell, and Melissa Hudson.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Christine Jackson, daughters, Amy Jackson, Julie Shell(Matt), sons, John Jackson(Angelia), and Jason Jackson(Amanda), grandchildren, Bridget, Aryn, Christopher, Jacob, Preston, and Eva Reese Jackson, Dakota and Eli Shell, brothers, Laymon, Billy, Joe, Steve, Pete, and Michael Jackson, sisters, Diane Farris, and Anna Borden, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Jackson was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Local 15 for 50 years. He was an active member of Central Baptist Church and enjoyed Alabama football, gardening, beekeeping, planting flowers, traveling and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Glenn, Brent Watson, Arnold Shell, Harold Tedford, Ken Nelson, and Rev. Charles Sparks.
Roselawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
