Allen, Wilma I., age 97 of Dayton passed away peacefully on October 17, 2017 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born on November 6, 1919 in Morgan County, West Liberty, Kentucky. She was the youngest of 6 children born to Comie and Daisy (Risner) Trusty, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Elmer, Chalmer (Jack) and Mitchell Trusty and 2 sisters, Ethel Melvin and Tressie Mauk. Her beloved husband, Frank Allen passed away in 1992, her loving daughter, Glenna Wooten in 2013 and her son-in-law, Paul Wooten in 2009. Wilma is survived by her devoted grandson, David L. Turpin and his wife, Janice; 4 great-grandchildren, Shane (Amy) Hollen, Amy (Willie) Redmond, Christopher (Jessica) Turpin, Sara (Mike) Turpin; 6 great-great grandchildren, Elizabeth (Curran) Alvarez, Alyssa, Quincy, Rachel, Corrinna and Jayden; a great-great-great grandson, Ocean. She is also survived many nieces, nephews and special distance relative and best friend, Bessie (deceased) and Joe Manning. Wilma worked at Sunshine Biscuits and many restaurants in the area. She and her husband owned a small restaurant on Troy Street in the 1950's. She retired from Canteen Catering, a food service in Chrysler Air Temp. She was a member of the Ashcraft Church of God for many years. At the age of 89, she and her sister, Tressie, age 99, road a large ATV up the hill at South Fork Cemetery (Malone, Kentucky) to visit the family graves they had not been able to see in a few years. Wilma was a very independent and strong willed lady, who passed these genes on down the family line. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, October 23, 2017, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Interment will follow in Willow View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, 2017.
