William J.Spatz, age 57 of Beavercreek, passed away on Thursday, October 16 at Hospice of Dayton; son of Wilbur and Virginia Spatz, who predecease him. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Terri, sons Devin and Brandon. Bill was the oldest of 7 siblings - Cindy Spatz of Dayton, Joe Spatz (Rae Jean) of Bellefontaine, Ken Spatz of Kettering, Rick Spatz (Julie) of Xenia, Mary (Mark) Pacer of Cedarville, Rita (Mark) Wimmers of Centerville and their children. He is also survived by his in-laws, Ron and Rosemarie Meyer of Beavercreek and the whole Meyer family. Bill was a cook at St. Elizabeth Medical Center for 22 years and Dayton Children’s Hospital as well as a member of the Catholic Alumni Club. He enjoyed model trains and doing home repair work for family and friends. We are thankful that he is relieved of his 11 years of suffering. He will be greatly missed. Friends may call at the Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. from 5-8 PM on Tuesday evening, October 21, 2014. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Wednesday morning, October 22 at 9:45 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 830 Bowen St, Dayton, OH 45410 at 10:30 AM Wednesday, October 22 by Fr. Greg Konerman. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Please make donations to the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge, Cleveland, OH in Bill’s name.
